About us

Our family-run hotel can be found in the westernmost part of Hungary in the Őrség National Park , at the Central Vendvidék (Slovene Rába Region) , in Apátistvánfalva. Austria is 10 km off, and the Slovenian border is a 3 kilometre walk from the hotel.

The hotel is located in a 7-acre ancient woodland and surrounded by stunning, beautifully green environment. We provide an array of services to secure your relaxation and active entertainment.

The refurbished Apát Hotel *** provides comfortable accommodation for guests in 20 rooms.

We can host a maximum number of 48 - 50 guests. Our rooms are equipped with a shower and television sets. Cots are available on request. A few of our rooms meet more modest needs by being equipped with a joint shower facility.

Our separate lounge may accommodate up to 50 people and is an ideal venue for wedding parties or conferences.

Restaurant

Do not miss the very singular culinary experience in our restaurant, where the hotel guests and occasional diners alike are warmly welcomed.

Our cook uses ingredients characteristic of the Őrség region , and prepares local, Hungarian and international delicacies.
We hold it essential that our guests enjoy the most fresh and palatable food possible, therefore we strive to use locally grown ingredients.

We offer a rather wide range of food from the Hungarian ratatouille to pork and cabbage stew with seasonal specialties such as cabbage and pumpkin seed strudel or fresh turnip recipes of the olden days.
